Great value. Can't go wrong w thisAug 19, 2010 This is my first Barska product and I'm very satisfied. It's well built, the variable power reticle is perfect for any situation, and it's decently clear. No, it's not as clear as a Nikon + scope or eotec but it's clear enough for 1x power $100 sight.
Barska 1x30 IR M-16 scopeAug 09, 2010 Put this scope on a Beretta CX Storm in 40 caliber.
3 shots to zero the scope at 25 yards.
200 rounds later the scope is rock solid, well made and allows for fast accurate shooting.
I am getting another one for my AR.
Great Red Dot ScopeJul 12, 2010 I ordered few red dot scopes from Amazon looking for the best one for my needs. Checked out UTG, Sightmark and Bushnell scopes. I chose Barska because the scope is easy to mount and dismount. The cross hair is much better than ordinary dot. Well made and it seems to be very rugged. It was a decision between this scope and Bushnell Trophy Red/Green Scope with 4 interchangeable reticle. I did not get Bushnell because it had two mounting rings which would not stand up to the recoil of my AK.
Lack of lens covers and green color selection may make a difference while you might be buying it. I recommend this.

Save Your MoneyJul 10, 2010 I'm no expert on sights/scopes, but I know when I've got one that's pure garbage. After reading mixed reviews on this one, I decided to give it a try for my AR when Amazon ran it for $49.99 last month. I have to say the one I received reflects many of the bad reviews. The Red IR Cross Reticle had another cross "echo" and the entire inside top turned bright red on higher intensities. The cross was off-axis and wasn't even completely horizontal and vertical. This isn't what I want to see when looking through a sight.
The MSRP of $267.90 is ridiculous. I can't imagine anyone anywhere paying near that price for this item. I was upset after only putting down $50! I'm going to try and upload a couple of photos I shot through the sight at mid and high intensity. They aren't "professional" photos...But they speak for themselves. If you decide to order one of these, I hope you get a good one. If not, Amazon is good about taking it back with no problems...
It works pretty good for the priceJul 06, 2010 It works ok for the price, its not high end but its cheap so I cant complain, plus it looks cool. Mine is starting to shutoff when i shoot though so Im not sure what the problem is yet.
