Propper International is the only manufacturer to have been granted permission by the creator and copyright holder of the Air Force Digital Tiger Stripe pattern to produce and sell a commercial version of the U.S. Air Force Airman Battle Uniform (ABU). The construction and materials used in the manufacturing of the commercial ABU meet the same military specifications as the uniforms being issued by the U.S. Air Force, including the inclusion of Near Infrared (NIR) technology, and the application of a permanent press finish. The commercial version of the ABU is assembled at Propper International manufacturing facilities in the Dominican Republic, a GSA-approved country.
